The ‘best bit’ for one of this magazine’s reviewers (they visited Bristol and Oxfordshire) was the ‘chic, 50s-inspired diner’ (pancakes, burgers, ‘epic’ shakes). Mollie’s stylish rooms (with ‘VIP touches’), friendly service and free coffee also got a big thumbs up from the Heat team.

Mollie’s is changing British perceptions of motels, says Hello! Magazine who loved everything from the un-fussy modern design to the Cowshed products in the bathrooms and ‘divine’ hot wings in the diner.

The Sun’s reviewer loved the General Store and lobby area at Mollie’s Oxfordshire (Candy Kittens and Tony’s Chocoloney as well as comfy sofas and chilled beer).

After checking into Mollie’s Bristol, the Telegraph’s reviewer highlighted the comfy beds (so Soho House), family-friendly rooms, impressive sound insulation and the vegetarian breakfast.

In the nicest possible way, CNT Magazine has us down as ‘Soho-House-Lite’: velvet armchairs, rain showers and ‘sexy’ lighting in the rooms, plus Dirty Burgers and Instagram-friendly décor in the diner.

For Guardian food columnist Grace Dent, a weekend at Mollie’s Oxfordshire was a ‘cool blast of fresh air’; she was impressed by the staff, the buttermilk chicken sandwich and the cocktails and gave a big thumbs up to her breakfast (thick waffles loaded with berries and cream). She’d be happy, she said, to stay again.
